Max Mosley has once again claimed that Jean Todt is the right man for the top job, While admitting that he believes Ari Vatanen lacks the necessary experience.
Many insiders are concerned about Jean Todt's impartiality, Mosley however, believes that Todt's history with previous employers like Peugeot, Citroen and Ferrari are proof that he is the right man for the job. Basing it on his loyalty with each of the teams he has worked for and his extensive management experience during his time at Ferrari as Team Principal, Mosley believes that Todt will be just as loyal to the FIA and just as successful as he was at managing Ferrari.
Jean Todt's rival for the candidacy, Ari Vatanen originally expressed to Mosley that he intended to succeed him prior to being officially announced as a candidate. Mosley claims he was upfront with Vatanen and told him that he had already promised his support to Todt. Not one to hold back on what he thinks, Mosley told Vatanen that he did not believe him to be the right man for the job. Vatanen a former rally driver and European Parliamentary Member, was told by Mosley that he has no management experience and had no concept of what was required according to autocar.co.uk.
